Project description

Sustainable living with PURLINE

The new council housing block on Albert-Einstein-Straße in Brühl has created modern, affordable housing with a clear focus on sustainability, practicality and quality of life. The project comprises a total of twelve accessible flats, including wheelchair-accessible units, and makes an important contribution to the provision of social housing in the local community.

The planning and implementation centred on durable materials, cost-effective solutions and a pleasant living environment. For the flooring, the choice fell on the sustainable, high-performance PURLINE flooring. A total of 720 m² of wineo 1500 chip in the Fountain Blue finish was installed.

PURLINE – the ideal flooring solution for residential construction

In social housing in particular, floor coverings are subjected to heavy wear and tear on a daily basis. At the same time, demands regarding healthy living, sustainability and cost-effectiveness are on the rise. PURLINE meets these requirements exceptionally well and offers numerous advantages for modern housing concepts:

  • hard-wearing and durable
  • pleasantly warm underfoot and quiet
  • low-emission and healthy for living
  • easy to maintain in everyday use
  • produced sustainably using high-quality polyurethanes

Thanks to its elastic properties, PURLINE ensures a high level of walking comfort and pleasant room acoustics – important factors in blocks of flats subject to heavy use. At the same time, its high durability helps to maintain the value of the surfaces over the long term and reduces the maintenance required during day-to-day use.

A subtle design with character: Fountain Blue

With Fountain Blue, the choice fell on a modern design from the wineo 1500 chip collection that harmoniously combines functionality and design. The fine chip texture gives the surface a lively yet calm appearance and ensures a uniform overall look.

The soft shade of blue creates a friendly and timeless atmosphere, thereby fostering a homely environment. At the same time, the textured surface offers practical advantages in everyday life, as minor signs of wear are significantly less visible – an important consideration in high-traffic living areas.

The project in Brühl impressively demonstrates how social housing, sustainable architecture and durable material solutions can be meaningfully combined. With PURLINE from wineo, a flooring solution has been created that delivers on both functionality and design in the long term.
