Project description
With ‘Collector’s Lab’, Telekom AG is showcasing its new retail design in the heart of the Bavarian capital. The exclusive location in the Hugendubel building on Marienplatz is, more than almost any other site, ideally suited to serve as a showcase for the company’s innovative and open character.
The local context of the Bavarian location is brilliantly highlighted in the Munich flagship store. The Alps appear as a magenta-coloured graphic element and the Bavarian blue-and-white diamond is present throughout. Understated ceiling and floor finishes, combined with accentuated interior design, create clear contrasts for a quick overview and easy navigation. In the Magenta Home Lounge, customers can discover and try out new products and current offers at their leisure, and immerse themselves in virtual realities.
Product displays on solid ground
Two different resilient flooring options from the Augustdorf-based flooring manufacturer Windmöller were used for the flooring, which was fully bonded across the entire surface. The wineo PURLINE in commercial-grade quality, featuring the authentic Pino Delave wood design, perfectly emphasises the cosy ambience of the lounge area with its wide plank look, complemented by the upholstered seating and wood-panelled walls.
In the ‘emotional islands’ area, the technical and functional design of the wineo 800 design flooring ensures a strong connection to Telekom’s cutting-edge technology and the digital facets of the Telekom world. The ‘Raw Concrete’ design, with its light grey exposed concrete look, effectively showcases Telekom’s Magenta colour and the exhibits on display.
An ‘excellent’ floor – with multiple certifications
PURLINE is manufactured in Germany. It has been granted building approval by the DIBT (Ü mark) and holds numerous international quality and emissions-related certifications, such as the Blue Angel environmental label and GreenGuard Gold, and has already been awarded seven internationally renowned design and innovation prizes by architects. Just recently, the sustainable flooring received the prestigious ‘Cradle to Cradle’ Silver certification. ‘Cradle to Cradle’ is an international quality standard that attests to a product’s biological or technical recyclability and its high level of sustainability throughout the production chain.
PURLINE – all-natural, stylish and high-performance
PURLINE is a high-quality, permanently elastic and joint-friendly polyurethane flooring based on ecuran. ecuran from Windmöller is a sustainable, high-performance composite material produced predominantly from renewable raw materials such as rapeseed or castor oil and chalk.
