LOUNGE

Living at home like in an elegant five-star hotel - rewarding yourself for the efforts of everyday life. More and more people are discovering this elegant and luxurious style of living for themselves. This interior trend began its triumphal march years ago under the name New Elegance and has since become one of the most important international living trends. The inspiration for this new elegance comes from Art Deco and the lifestyle of the 1920s and 1930s as well as the modernism of the 1950s and 1960s. But despite these influences from the past, this living trend is not nostalgic or backward-looking.

Design classics from the mid-20th century are combined with new, straightforward furniture. Medium-brown to dark woods harmonize with wool fabrics, velvet and silky, shiny fabrics. Marble and golden metal for accessories and small pieces of furniture set elegant accents and complete the modern look. The trend colours for this style are black, anthracite, dark blue, petrol, dark green, terracotta and Bordeaux red. They can be combined with medium and light neutral tones such as beige, gray or cream. However, rooms decorated entirely in dark colours with just a few light accents look most effective.
